Surgery Center at Easton Announces Joint Venture with Mount Carmel Health System

Columbus, Ohio – Mount Carmel Health System will join the physician owners of the Surgery Center at Easton to become partners of the Center. The Surgery Center will be led by a Physician Advisory Committee and independently managed from Mount Carmel.

“We’re excited to partner with the physician owners of the Surgery Center at Easton in this joint venture to expand Mount Carmel’s safe, high-quality orthopedic care,” said Lorraine Lutton, president & CEO of Mount Carmel Health System. “This joint venture allows us to align our health system in a strategic way that promotes long-term success for both partners and allows us to expand our orthopedic services beyond acute care.”

Situated in Easton Town Center, the SCE is a well-established, well-known surgery center that has a reputation for providing high-quality outpatient orthopedic care. To date, the physicians have specialized in all aspects of orthopedic surgery and physical medicine and rehabilitation, including sports medicine, shoulder, elbow, hand, foot and ankle, neck and spine and total joint replacement.

“Our physician ownership team is pleased to welcome Mount Carmel Health System as a partner of the Surgery Center at Easton,” says Joel Politi, MD, Easton Surgery Center Board Member. “We look forward to many years of shared success and service to our patients.”

“We believe our mission to provide the highest level of care and service to our orthopedic patients will be strengthened through this strategic joint venture, while still allowing us to stay actively engaged in the management of the center,” added Jonathan Feibel, MD, Easton Surgery Center Board Member.
